Die Geschichte: Der verpasste Zug
Letzten Freitag wollte Tom seine Großmutter besuchen. Sie wohnt in Hamburg, und Tom wohnt in München. Am Morgen ist er zum Bahnhof gefahren. Er hatte eine Fahrkarte für den Zug um neun Uhr gekauft.
Aber Tom hat einen Fehler gemacht. Er hat die Uhrzeit falsch gelesen. Der Zug ist nicht um neun Uhr, sondern um acht Uhr gefahren! Als Tom am Bahnhof angekommen ist, war der Zug schon weg.
Tom war zuerst sehr sauer. Er musste zwei Stunden auf den nächsten Zug warten. Er hat sich einen Kaffee gekauft und ein Buch gelesen.
Im Zug hat Tom eine nette Frau getroffen. Sie heißt Lena und fährt auch nach Hamburg. Sie haben die ganze Fahrt zusammen gesprochen und viel gelacht. Am Ende haben sie ihre Telefonnummern getauscht.
„Vielleicht war der verpasste Zug doch keine Katastrophe“, hat Tom gedacht. Manchmal bringt ein kleines Problem eine schöne Überraschung.

Last Friday, Tom wanted to visit his grandmother. She lives in Hamburg, and Tom lives in Munich. In the morning he travelled to the station. He had bought a ticket for the nine o’clock train. But Tom made a mistake. He read the time wrong. The train left not at nine, but at eight! When Tom arrived at the station, the train was already gone. At first Tom was very annoyed. He had to wait two hours for the next train. He bought himself a coffee and read a book. On the train, Tom met a nice woman. Her name is Lena and she is also going to Hamburg. They talked together for the whole journey and laughed a lot. In the end they swapped phone numbers. “Maybe the missed train wasn’t a disaster after all,” Tom thought. Sometimes a small problem brings a lovely surprise.
